Here's the thing about energy work: it was never meant to stay with the practitioner.

Reiki isn't a gift some people have and others don't. It's a skill — a frequency you learn to recognize, channel, and trust yourself with. Level 1 & 2 is how that happens. Not a certificate for the wall. A tool for your actual life — your own nervous system, your kids, your clients, the people who call you when things fall apart.

This training is built the way everything at Avid Earthling is built: somatic, plain-language, grounded in what your body already knows how to do — with the energetic and chakra layer there to deepen it, not gatekeep it.

What Level 1 & 2 Actually Means

Reiki Level 1 — The Foundation

This is where you learn the practice itself. You're attuned to the energy, you learn hand positions and self-treatment, and — maybe most importantly — you build a daily relationship with your own energetic and nervous system. Level 1 is entirely self-focused: you learn to regulate, ground, and heal yourself first. No practicing on others yet. This is root-level work — safety, self-trust, coming home to your own body as the first authority.

Reiki Level 2 — The Practitioner Level

This is where the work turns outward. You receive a second attunement that deepens and strengthens the energy, and you learn the traditional Reiki symbols — the tools that let you direct energy with more precision, work on other people, and even send Reiki across distance. Level 2 is where you become someone who can hold space and channel this work for others — a friend, a family member, eventually clients if that's the path you're on.

Together, Level 1 & 2 take you from receiving this work to carrying it — for yourself first, and then for the people who trust you with their own healing.
