We’re looking for a Business Admin + Wellness Coordinator who is authentically passionate about wellness and helping others. Known for being reliable, collaborative and holding a high standard for your work, you are someone who finds deep satisfaction in completing your tasks in collaboration with others. You are easily approachable, dynamic, and proactive with exceptional organizational and communications skills. You can exercise considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential or sensitive nature.

Who is Avid Earthling looking for?

  • Someone that has an interested in wellness & healing modalities

  • Someone who enjoys collaboration, detail oriented & gets an energy boost when completing tasks

  • Coordinates the execution & completion of various sole proprietary business & project's tasks with a positive mindset

  • Enjoys bookkeeping and working with numbers & deadlines

  • Can assist with Social Media designs, management & scheduling

  • Experience with business models in technology, wellness &/or non-profits (bonus points for all 3!)

  • Familiar with organizational cloud-based tools, such as Evernote, Dropbox, Trello, Slack &/or Basecamp

  • Have a strong sense of integrity, ownership and accountability to the tasks at hand

 

YOUR AN EXPERIENCE MATCH IF:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an office environment

  • Has bookkeeping, budgeting & light accounting experience

  • Have 1-2 years of experience in social media management, including Facebook, Facebook groups, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, including generating social media content (with tools like Canva)

  • Have experience proofreading blog posts

  • Strong working knowledge with Office, Outlook and Google Suite

  • “Organization” is your middle name

  • Small-scale event coordination & planning experience

  • Multi-tasking and context switching is something you can do in your sleep

  • A teammate who enjoys working and collaborating with the CEO, as well as making new business connections

  • Energetic, approachable and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude. Willing to jump in and help when situations arise. 

  • Have worked in a collaborative team environment

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and can prioritize work activities.

  • Is a self-starter, is great at asking questions when feeling stuck & is ok with working alone & from home the majority of the time. 

  • Highly professional and has the ability to work with confidential matters: maintain a high level of confidence when managing sensitive information including documents

  • Is also ok working some evenings &/or weekend hours together at the CEO's home (no childcare needed, bring the kids!)

  • Is fine with running the odd personal errand on occasion

  • You have access to your own personal laptop & wifi connection

  • Is located in North Vancouver, BC ideally

  • Has experience in growing a new business and can help jam on business growth ideas, new ventures & measuring KPI’s

  • Comfortable making tweaks and updates to basic Wix & Shopify websites (no HTML coding necessary)

 

LOGISTICS + BENEFITS:

  • $18/hr with flexible working hours (up to 20 hrs per week, depending on the project/workload); perfect for a stay-at-home Mom, or a Mom looking for evening/weekend work (again, hours are flexible!)

  • Ability to work remotely from home (need your own access to a laptop and wifi)

  • 2 month contract to start, with a possibility of this growing into a larger role with further responsibilities
